Galija Explorer Ship, an authentic wooden galley boat built in 1914 and now beautifully restored by local wooden ship building artisans from the island Murter, is ready for your exclusive event.
Intimate and private events for no more than 90 people are suited for on board Galija Explorer Ship.
This attractive boat can also serve as a stage setting for a band, DJ or entertainment for smaller, exclusive groups.
Our Galija, built in 1914, was first used to transport gravel from around its current location, to the island of Zlarin. This was a typical use of galley boats at that time.
Registered in Šibenik in 1997, Galija features as a pirate ship film prop in the American film of the same year, ˝Kull the Conquerer“, filmed around Murter and the Kornati Islands.
Our Galija was restored to authenticity in 2009 by local, traditional wooden shipbuilders in Betina. The centuries-old wooden shipbuilding tradition in Betina is protected under Croatia’s intangible cultural heritage.
