Katie Merch-Chammon, Associate Director of Event Operations – MICE, M&I Forums
M&I Forums is a platform that fosters networking and connections between a host of international MICE industry buyers and suppliers. In June 2019, the three-day meetings’ format brought together 422 leading MICE industry attendees at its first-ever Šibenik event in the historic coastal town, at Amadria Park’s nearby Convention Centre Šibenik.
Delegates of the M&I Forums Šibenik event were keen to familiarise with the “lesser-known” Croatian destination, while at the same time taking the opportunity to experience the comprehensive MICE facilities and services on offer at Amadria Park, as well as discovering activities in the region.
The event program provides the ideal platform for MICE industry buyers and providers to build and strengthen business relationships. “We bring together the very best in the industry. Not only do we hand-pick the most valuable event buyers, but we also manage the quality of suppliers, helping the industry’s finest to create lasting relationships”, says Katie Merch-Chammon, Associate Director of Event Operations – MICE, at M&I Forums.
The winning formula consists of the right blend of meetings, activities and special networking experiences unique to each Forum. Convention Centre Šibenik’s largest meeting hall, Šibenik I, hosted the Forum’s face-to-face meetings, conducted in a speed dating format to allow optimal engagement between delegates, while refreshment service took place in the spacious entrance foyer.
“All Amadria Park excursions demonstrated to future event planners
the variety of activities in the destination that highlight
culture and tradition as well as natural beauty.”
Katie Merch-Chammon, Associate Director of Event Operations – MICE, M&I Forums
A generous portion of the Forum is allocated to afternoon activities, evening drinks and dinners due to their outstanding value contribution for networking. Amadria Park’s on-site special event venues provided the perfect space for this. Dalmatian Ethno Village hosted the M&I Forum welcome dinner, with a dine-around buffet set-up in the surroundings of traditional stone houses to allow client introductions and networking.
En Vogue Beach Club served as the venue of choice for the closing function, enhancing social engagement during a buffet-style dinner service combined with an element of fun through organised entertainment and the overall relaxed vibe of the event space, to reinforce the benefits of networking and relationship building. Part of the evening was dedicated to an awards ceremony.
Amadria Park arranged a number of trips, excursions and activities for the M&I Forums delegates over the three-day event, providing a well-rounded culture, gastronomy and nature experience. The group enjoyed a trip to National Park Krka, a visit to Zlarin Island aboard Amadria Park’s Galija Explorer Ship, a walking tour of Šibenik’s Old Town, a pršut (prosciutto) tasting at traditional rural household ‘Baćulov dvor’ in nearby Primošten, a special wine tasting of local indigenous grape varieties at Testament winery and a stand-up buffet dinner at one of Šibenik’s four fortresses, Barone.
